ORGANIZATION / RELIGION
Named for the Magaii, servants of Ara and Iirii, the Order of the Magi are devotees under the Otarii. Many branches and sects of The Order have arisen throughout time. The sect following the beliefs most accurate to the world's true origin lies in the country of Rican, centered at the Forest of the Lock Temple. This temple was founded after the Reformation of the Gods upon the enlightenment that bonds of marriage and family go beyond mortal life. The Order of the Magi formed at this temple, and grew throughout the ages, across the world. In spite of direct divine guidance, the Order lost some of their most precious scripts when wildfires struct the temple. Unknown to the Magi, this loss cut off their knowledge of beings higher than the Otarii, and thus, their divine abilities have become limited over the ages.

My respect is freely given. Trust must be avowed. Beneath the progeny I serve. No wrath shall be spared upon me, should I transgress this oath.”
“I, (title) (name), swear before the Gods, Otarii, and Magi, to follow the creed of the Order. I will defend with my left, body and heart, and sustain with my right, mind and soul. Respect freely given will be returned in kind. By sanctity of truth, trust will be avowed. I watch over the progeny, but I am beneath it. No wrath is spared upon those who transgress this oath, nor offend those who are sworn by it. I am nothing, should I fail.”
“I am beneath your honor.”
Used to show gratitude and humility.“No wrath will be spared.”
Used as a warning to Magi who might be at risk of breaking their vows. Also used as a threat to regular Iiru who offend the code or Magi.“By my left and by my right…”
Used as a promise of great importance.Used as a formal greeting. It can serve as a reminder to normal Iiru, what the Magi are sworn to, and what Iiru in turn benefit from the existence of Magi.“Avow your trust.”
Used as an offer for someone to challenge a Magi. This is an antiquated phrase, as the desire to challenge the Magi has diminished greatly over the ages.“Am I nothing?”
Used as a declaration of worthiness. This is also antiquated, as it has become less common for Magi to be challenged.Variants by region include:
“By my body and mind…”“By my heart and soul…”“As guide and guardian...”“My respect is freely given.”The Order of The Magi was formed after the Reformation to follow an enlightened path. Due to scripts being destroyed in the fire, they have only part of their full religious texts, specifically focusing on the Otarii. The Oaths of the Magi are the creed to which the Magi conform and informs them of their duties as representatives of the Gods.
