ISMERATH
LOCATION
LOCATION
Ismerath means White Metal (or Silver) Death from the Raglouvar words Is (white), Mer (metal), and Rath (Death). The city was named for the individual who lead to its establishment.
Ismerath is also known as the city of the dead, the land of death, and the afterlife. The word "Ismerath" became synonymous with death/dying after sailors would return from perilous voyages with tales of harrowing storms, capsizing vessels, and sighting the glorious city of crystalline palaces through the dark of rising waves and heavy clouds. It served as a beacon in near death experiences, assumed to lead souls lost at sea to their final resting place. These tales have caused Ismerath to achieve a near-mythic status.
